Independent Reading Book: Thou Shall Not Dump the Skater Dude

My independent reading book is about a girl. This girl is 13 years old and has to move to california. This girl has been living in virginia ever since she was born . Now her mother is making her move so she can live her dream, being a lawyer. But the main character doesnt like this because she feels that her mom isnt thinking about her feelings. But her mom told her that she gave up her dream before because she had to have her . But the main character took it the wrong way, she started thinking things like , "then why did she even have me?"
I can understand why she would think that though. In the book it makes it sound like the mother IS trying to tell her that its all her fault . But i know she doesnt mean it like that. The main character feels like her life is going to turn upside down because she is in the middle of eighth grade and now she has to move to a school with totally different people.
But it turns out when she moves it isnt so bad , she makes friends right away an soon finds a cute boy <3. As the year went on she found out that, that same cute kid likes her too. They end up being together as "boyfriend and girlfriend". Everything is fine untill....... their relationship starts to hit a bumpy road. Now she is starting to feel like she should move back to california.
I can understand how she feels because i would be upset to move out of the country in the middle of eighth grade too because i already have my friends and know everybody and know what to do. By her moving she has to start a TOTALLY different life and has to meet with TOTALLY different people. If i was her i would just go along with everything and make myself as comfortable as possible. Now about the " skater dude" i think that if their relationship is hitting a bumpy road then she should just dump him because she has enough drama as it is . New place , new job and new....... PEOPLE.
